Product Care:
All of our wood products are finished with a food grade wood finish consisting of 2 coats of food grade mineral oil, followed by 1 coat of Northwest Woodworks board wax.
Product Clean-Up:
Never put your wood board/bowl in the dishwasher, the dishwasher will remove the food grade finish down to bare wood.
Always clean your board with warm water only (small amount of mild dish soap if needed), hot water and chemicals will remove your finish.
Always dry your board before storing it.
Product Maintenance:
All of Northwest Woodworks boards and bowls can be re-finished as needed with Northwest Woodworks board wax.
To re-finish your board or bowl, simply wipe on a coat of Northwest Woodworks board wax with a soft cloth, as if you are waxing a car. Let this sit for a few minutes and gently wipe off excess board wax with a clean soft cloth. More then 1 coat can be applied if desired for appearance and shine. If too much board wax is applied, simply wipe off the excess with a soft cloth.
